Don’t mind your child’s weakness and focus on their strengths.

If you see how great your child’s strengths have improved, let’s give them praises and show them encouragement. Your child’s strengths will become even better, and his/her shortcomings will improve.

Focus on your child’s growth and progress.

With your child, let’s not look at him/her as a completely grown human. It’s because they are in their present childhood state, let’s look at them knowing that they are still growing and will become greater than now.

Try not to raise your child to perfection.

Let’s not expect your child to be perfect at anything from their first time. For children, there are so many new things to learn and experience, it’s very natural that they are unable to do well for the first time. Phrases like “It was hard, but You did it!” “Great job!” are praises that parents should be saying to their child to encourage and give them motivations to try out new things and improve.

Never compare your child to other children.

Everybody has their own unique characters and potentials that are different from any other child’s. It’s pointless to compare your child to others.

Do not judge your child by academic performance.

It is important to see the efforts that your child has made, not how much score he/she could get. Once you child receive love and trust from parents, he/she will develop academic abilities rapidly.

Accept your child as they are at 100 points.

Instead of seeing his/her shortcomings and scoring less, find good things from them and give them more score. Parents should raise your child with positive perspective. If he/she is at 100 points today, he/she gets 120 points tomorrow if he/she does anything better!
