SHICHIDA METHOD: 100 wisdoms how to develop your child‘s intellectual ability/七田式・本当の知力をつける100の知恵

[87. Let your child learn the importance of giving]

The interaction between children is an important environment to learn social skills.

If your child has siblings, you can teach him/her how to give things to one another with action.

For example, you can give some candies to your child and tell “Give this one to your brother, and this one to your sister”.

It is hard for children, especially for little children, to give things to others unless their parents teach how to give in a concrete way.

Playing house and playing pretending are also good opportunities to learn how to give and pass things to others.

If your child doesn’t have siblings, he/she can learn the social skills at daycare.

Parents should try to create opportunities as much as you can for your child to have interactions with other children.
