[36. Basic Knowledge 10: Money, part 1]

Let’s teach your child about Money in the order below:

STEP 1: Coins (1 dollar, Quarter: 25 cent, Dime: 10 cents, Nickel: 5 cents)

STEP 2: Bills (5 dollars, 10 dollars, 20 dollars)

STEP 3: Bills (50 dollars, 100 dollars), How to count money

The rule of money is very difficult thing for children to understand.

10 nickels, 4 quarters, and 1-dollar coin… it takes quite a time for children to understand that these quantities have the same money value.

Let’s teach your child the value of money from the early age and let them obtain a sense for money.

It is a good way for to give your child some allowance and get them to record how they spend it at elementary school age.

Parents should tell your child that he/she can use his/her allowance as he/she like but need to  promise to record how much they spend that money.

This will be a great opportunity to learn about numbers and how to count money.

If your child wants to buy something, it is better to let them make a plan to save money and have the experience to learn and use money on their own.
