SHICHIDA METHOD: 100 wisdoms how to develop your child‘s intellectual ability/七田式・本当の知力をつける100の知恵

[12. Parents need to correct their child not to believe he/she is superior to others.]

If your child had been praised too much because he/she is good at many things, what would happen to him/her?

Your child might have an awareness that he/she is special, and he/she may become a person with too much pride.

The person with too much pride tends to think that his/her friend is inferior and weak just because the friend cannot do things he/she can do.

Parents need to guide their child not to have this idea.

Parents should teach their child to look for friend’s good qualities.

For example, you can say to your child “Your friend may be not good at using scissors but his hand writing is beautiful”.

If parents focus on enhancing child’s intelligence only and not telling them to give thoughts to others, the child would be arrogant child who gives displeasure to everyone.

Let’s teach your child to show abilities to help others when needed, not to show off to other children.
